Was Rebecca Black’s infamous “worst video ever” really that bad?
Rebecca Renee Black born June 21,   is an American YouTuber and singer who gained extensive media coverage when the music video for her February 10, , single " Friday " went viral on YouTube and other social media sites. She currently uploads videos on her YouTube channel about various topics. Black was born in Irvine, California. She joined the school's musical theater program, where she felt she was "meant to be. The song's video was uploaded to YouTube on February 10, , and received approximately 1, views in the first month. The video went viral on March 11, acquiring millions of views on YouTube in a matter of days, becoming the most discussed topic on social networking site Twitter,  and garnering mostly negative media coverage. Black also stated that she is a fan of Justin Bieber , and expressed interest in performing a duet with him. A cover of "Friday" was performed on Glee in the second-season episode, " Prom Queen ". When asked about why the song was covered on Glee , show creator Ryan Murphy replied, "The show pays tribute to pop culture and, love it or hate it, that song is pop culture.

Back then, Black was an eighth-grade honors student with big, theatre kid dreams, a zit on her right cheek, and a life-sized Justin Bieber cut-out in her bedroom at home, who'd get on stage at lunchtime to sing and do cartwheels. She was already dealing with the same kind of " low-grade bullying" most teens face, but after "Friday," it intensified to the point of abuse. Eventually, she was forced to drop out. I'm 22, and I have to be reminded of that all the time. And that's okay. It comes with whatever age it comes with. Everybody has a different timeline for their lives, of when they're going to start figuring things out. The all-encompassing phenomenon of "Friday" had a lot to do with how and when it went viral.
When I hear some of the issues going on in Mormon Land, I usually say to myselfв. Propagandists in the media throw around the word patriarchy as if it is synonymous with anything male. I envy all you lonely doctor wives. Am constantly trying to be the understanding girlfriend and try to remain humble towards him at all times but It hurts a lot.
